Classroom Decoration =D

This year's National Day theme! Got a pleasant surprise when I saw the clay work of Haojian (& ivy? ) It's a little heavy..hoho, will stick it up tomorrow before judging....
3 F's baby mascot says," Hi!!!" Hahahaha...that's a National Day mascot drawn by moi..hahahha...Hope no one removes it before tomorrow!!!

While my bao bei were busy with clasroom decoration today, I decided to join in the fun...recalled one of my drawing assignments during my primary school days whereby we were supposed to piece a drawing with scraps of paper....decided to recycle the wrapper for the A4 paper we used in the staff room and da dah..here's Mr Recycle Soldier...

Forgot who remarked that all the characters I draw look the same..hahhaa..time to brush up on my doodling...

Here's a corner of my classroom! Hhahahaa...I think I will give my own "Best Effort Award" maximising the use of newspapers!

This is like soooOOOOoooOOOoooo sweeEEEeeeeEEEeeeet.......

Here's a snap of some of my bao bei who stayed back to decorate the classroom! Some were at CCA and hence were not around...thank you....especially Mingzhe & mysterious guest from 3G who helped to clean the doors and walls that were covered with footprints! =DD I really appreciate that....

A blurry shot...

Hahahhaa....that's me with my bao bei! =DD
Last Friday was the first time other teachers and I lead in community singing......Today we had a CARE talk whereby Mr Tan Y K did a recollection of some of my favourite National Day evergreens! You know, those songs we always sing at the end of National Day Parade: Count on me, Stand up for Singapore, One People One Nation One Singapore.....I think all of us have one or two NDP songs we love...hahhahaha....I like Its The Little Things too....
Hahhahaha....this year's songs are lovely, but not too friendly for someone with a mellow voice....though I can't sing well, but I will try my best! =DD
Hope my bao bei and other students will warm up by National Day Celebration and sing along!

Coffee is something that taste a little sweet in the midst of bitterness....in life, we can always find sweetness in bitterness...

NDP Preview!

That's my mum and me! It's her first time attending a NDP show! For me, it's Lucky 3, my 3rd NDP preview!

What does Racial Harmony Day means to you?

It should not be commemorated merely through donning enthic costumes, which was why this component was played down this year...

However, out of pure curiousity, I borrowed a sari from my collegue. Thought it will be interesting to learn how to wear a sari as it sure looks complicated to me. It was amazing how Ms Kamali Balan folds the sari with ease and with minutes, *da-dah* its done! Guess my form class was totally taken aback, as all the other teachers plan to don their enthic costumes before the concert starts...*bleah*

Guess the funniest moment was when the slide for the Quiz screams:" Get a teacher dressed in enthic costume to come on stage with you."

I KNEW it man...I was sitted in the middle of the hall as I was one of the judges for the Glam Slam Dance Compeition, whereby the participating groups infuse enthic moves into the chereography of their dances...

But it was totally UNEXPECTED to have my very own sec 4 student dearest Yiming run all the way from the back and Ms Angie Sim run up TOGETHER to "grab" me upstage...

Hahhahahahhahaa...almost fell down..hahahhaa, hello, I am wearing a sari for the first time can and I am not exactly demure...needs some getting used to...

It was good fun though, hahahhaa, and I was torn in between when Ms Ham asks me who "grabbed" me first...

Hahaha, so the winner is Ms Sim! I am sorry, yiming..hahaha..

Here's a few snaps from Racial Harmony Day!

Chamber Dance =D

Some memories will not be deleted...

My current MSN Nick:

Remember i was snapping away the past 4 days @ the Arts House?

I wanted to load the pics onto my comp...and I have no idea what possesses me to click on the FORMAT button....

And all the musical pics I have taken the past few days were gone....

Was in tears though I know what was done cannot be undone...

Its just different....coz many of the photos I have taken were those of my fellow teachers:

Mrs Quek with her wonderful collection of make up...she was on her feet for hours and hours....

Mdm Parimala with the iron and many many costumes...

Ms Lim Yen Wah and Ms Wynn Chew my stage managers busy at work backstage and helping out with make up....

Mdm Suhailah busy with logistics in all areas from food to buses...

Mr Sandridge Ong helping out with the hair styling...

Ms Elizabeth Chia helping out with make up of the Chinese dancers...

the Malay and Indian instructors and helpers ensuring that the dancers look glamourous with those unforgetable eye make up....

Ms Jean Mok+Mrs Lucinda Leong+ Mr James Tan+ the Media Tech team testing out the sound system and lightings....

Mr Tan Yit Kee and Ms Vernoica Ho in the background hanging up the props you see in all 3 venues....It was almost like watching SPIDERMAN 4 watching Mr Tan hang the many props trust me!

Mr Joshua Shoo and Mr Ng Kok Wing doing publicity shots for the dancers for the programme booklet...

Just to mention a few of the shots I have snapped...of course there are more teachers doing lots of background work..i mean, its weird to take a photo of Mdm Lee counting how many tickets were sold right?

Not to mention the funny poses and faces with fellow teachers/ khakis, the dancers... all the photos were lost....with one click of the button....all deleted...

Dear Bao bei... you have a photo taken with me, can you email me? Please....*sobs*

THank god for Mr James Tan, Mr Peter Leong and their team who preserved some wonderful memories for us...

Downloaded some snaps from the school website...Was'nt the chamber wave fun? Hahahha..will upload some of the more candid moments of the ridiculous duck/ chicken/ retro mass dance!

What cannot be taken away, deleted from memory, are those moments of tears shed and joy we have all shared for the dance musical...

Sunday, 8 July 2007

This is THE week!!! Dance musical 2007 Labyrinth of Dreams is just around the corner! The dancers have been practising for the whole of last week (and of course for the past 2 months) The musical committee have been working really hard for the production! Hope all of you will support our very own dance musical!!!

Speech Day: Behind the Scenes (Part 2)

Speech Day was a success! While the formal images are captured by the professional photographers, here's a peep at what goes on behind the scenes and after speech day..hahahhahaa....
